WORSHIP AT TRINITY

We believe that worship exists to focus us upwards, energize us as a worshiping family and to push and equip us to meet the needs of our community. Our hope is that we arrive each week with anticipation and that we leave asking tough questions as to how we live lives of compassion rather than judgment; how we might serve the social outcasts rather than scoff at their presence; how we might fight through mere tolerance and embrace love. Love always wins! And in order for the love of Christ to shine brighter and brighter, we must always remember, "It's not about me!"

TRADITIONAL WORSHIP SERVICE (9-10AM)

Traditional worship has long been a great strength of Trinity Lutheran Church and a central part of congregational activities. Vitality and reverence combine to create a joyful atmosphere in worship for members of all ages of the community of faith. The spiritual experience is enhanced by traditional liturgy, inspirational preaching, music, prayer and active congregational participation.

The Sunday morning weekly service of Holy Communion makes use of a variety of Lutheran liturgical settings and hymns from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW - red book). Trinity has a long history of musical excellence and appreciation. The congregational singing is strong, led by the Parish Choir with organ, piano or other instruments. The service often features special music presented by the Parish Choir and sometimes visiting ensembles from the St. Louis area.  All of these elements come together to offer a richly spiritual worship experience equipping members of the congregation for ministry in the world. A Children’s Sermon will also be included.

**The music is led by Brian Parrish & Jonathan Owen!

FAMILY  TRADITIONAL WORSHIP SERVICE (11:15AM - NOON)

A casual worship service of relaxed Lutheran liturgy with a mix of classic, contemporary hymns, spirituals and seasonal songs. Music in this worship is most often leader-led with piano and occasional band. Though relaxed, this worship is immersed in Word and Sacrament, including confession and forgiveness, Word of God, Holy Communion, and children’s sermon, equipping us all for ministry in the world.
