WHAT TO EXPECT
What is a worship service at Trinity like?
Trinity currently offers one worship service, at 10:00 AM. Sunday School (ages 3 through 5th grade) meets beforehand at 9:00 AM, and Adult Forum follows worship at 11:15 AM — both September through May. Our worship service is broadcast on our YouTube channel, so if you can't join us in person, you're welcome to watch live or at your convenience.
Our worship is rooted in Lutheran liturgy, blending traditional hymns with contemporary songs. Music is led by our organist and worship team, with hymn selections drawn from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal and the Christian Copyright Licensing International catalog.
What denomination is Trinity Lutheran Church?
Trinity is a member congregation of the Central States Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
How do people dress?
There's no dress code at Trinity. At any service, you'll see people dressed to the nines alongside others in worship casual — and every style in between.
What about my kids?
Children are encouraged to worship with their parents and to come forward during the Children's Message to hear the Gospel in simple terms. It's a great moment for adults too, and often sparks conversation between parents and children later in the day or throughout the week. Children who haven't yet made their First Communion are welcome at the Lord's Table to receive a blessing.

OUR FAITH
What We Believe
There is a basic pattern for worship among Lutherans. We gather. We encounter God's Word. We share a meal at the Lord's Table. And we are sent into the world. Worship isn't so much about what we do — it's fundamentally about what God is doing, and our response to God's action. Worship is an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Baptism
Martin Luther taught that we are to rise each day and say, "I am baptized into Christ," living within the covenant God made with us in Baptism. That covenant calls us to live among God's faithful people, hear God's Word and share the Lord's Supper, proclaim the good news in thought, word, and deed, serve all people as Jesus did, and strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
Communion
Communion celebrates the Last Supper, the night Jesus ate and drank with his disciples, inviting them into the act of love he was about to perform on the cross. At Trinity, we celebrate communion weekly and believe Christ's body and blood come to us not merely symbolically, but as a true presence. We welcome all Christians to Communion, and children who haven't yet received First Communion are invited forward for a blessing.
